Title: Bid Manager - Highways
Description: POSITION: Bid Manager - Highways LOCATION: Leeds SALARY: £40 - £50k plus benefits As their business continues to thrive and see this group involved in some significant highways schemes, our client is seeking to appoint a well seasoned Bid Manager to take charge of their bid team for the UK. It is essential that you will be well versed in UK Highways schemes and will have the ability to write highly technical bids and that you will be either be a former Civil Engineer, or a very experienced Bid Author. You may have worked with either contractors or consultants and will be familiar with the bidding process. We are currently representing one of the most prolific names in the multidisciplinary design consutlancy field who have a worldwide reputation for their schemes and who have won some particularly notable schemes, including a number of major highways projects, they have also enjoyed success on the rail side too. The role is a national one and will be based in their Leeds office, although the company are happy to consider individuals in the Midlands, Bristol or London areas too. Our client is hoping to attract an individual who is capable of managing all aspects of the bid process and who is commercially aware, with a good appreciation of the commercial and quality issues surrounding the bids. It is expected that you will fully prepared for a challenge and determined to succeed. In addition to this you will be experienced in business development in any or some of the fields mentioned, including highways, which will help you to integrate with the other business partners and result in producing some winning strategies. Of course it goes without saying that you will be a strong and effective communicator who is well organised and that you will take responsibility for managing the commercial and quality processes on time and to budget.
