The company lead on projects at all stages from initial conception through to maintenance for a wide range of clients. The focus of the market is rapidly changing towards the delivery of business critical technology and as a result they have a number of opportunities in Glasgow/Edinburgh, Manchester, Birmingham and London.
Currently they have a number of posts available within their Transport Technology Business Stream for experienced Motorway Communication Systems - Infrastructure Designers with a proven background in developing Managed Motorway Scheme Designs for clients such as the Highways Agency and Transport Scotland.
The roles in more detail will involve:-
Responsible for establishing client requirements and developing cost effective scheme solution in drawing and report mediums
Maintaining an awareness of client standards
Able to make operational decisions without recourse to higher authority
Responsible for the implementation of quality systems
Scope resource and CAD requirements
Monitoring progress of project resources regarding people and programme targets
It is essential that you will have an in depth knowledge of Highways Agency or Transport Scotland design standards and systems architecture. Alongside this a detailed knowledge of DMRB, NRTS and Managed Motorway design standards.
Sufficient technical knowledge to deliver services autonomously and the ability to advise and coach others. Working as part of a team is also key as is proven communication skills.
