Working for one of the country's leading multidisciplinary design consultancies, you will be an accomplished Bridges and Highways Associate with a good appreciation of design as well as excellent client relationship skills and the ability to deliver key projects.
The role in more detail will involve the management and development of the company's Yorkshire office which comprises some 70 staff who are engaged in a major roads and highways project over a 10 year period. Key to this role will be the ability to deliver the schemes on time and to budget and to manage a percentage of the office involved in all highways related structural work.
This role will involve authority to act on behalf of the Company in respect of all matters pertaining to their area of the business.
It is expected that you will lead by example by implementing the Company's strategy for winning work, but more importantly for working closely with their client over a number of years. The company would expect you to provide leadership in the management of health and safety and to act as a mentor to the team.
You will be financially stable and commercially astute and be well versed in the major highways market, preferably having worked in the North East at some point during your career.
Essentially you will have at least 8 years experience within predominately the bridges sector across all aspects, as well as a good all round structural knowledge on highways- related matters. Alongside this you will possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to lead by example.
