ACCOUNT MANAGER

This worldwide leader in the communciations market are seeking to maximise account penetration and profitable growth of their London transportation clients and are keen to recruit an Account Manager. You will be responsible for representing the organisation in marketing/sales/strategic activities and act as interface between their clients, who include:- London Underground and Transport for London. This will involve acting as the advocate for the customer's interests and showing a personal long term commitment.
The position reports to the Business Development Manager and in the main will involve - Customer Account Analysis and Transparency - understanding the external and internal customer's business and objectives and transfer this knowledge to the company. Additionally representing the customer within the group and ensuring a unified company approach to the client. You will be responsible for providing value to the customer by creating new opportunities together and by sharing information. This will also involve striving for customer satisfaction, and demonstrating commitment, willingness and a passion for the business.
Other key duties will include:-
" Leadership/People Management: Build and lead an account team to develop and achieve account-specific targets. Build and drive teams for specific opportunities.
" Strategic Account Development: Develop account strategies in close co-operation with relevant business segments and the customer. Formulate the Account Business Plan or contribute effectively to plan development by others.
" Relationship Management: Build and maintain sustainable relationships with the customer's key decision-makers and facilitate and plan relationships at senior levels between the customer and the company.
" Play a part in the contribution to the companys Market Strategy and Portfolio: Feed customer requirements back into the organisation to influence strategy and portfolio development to meet the customer's needs.
" Opportunity Management: Drive opportunities in close co-operation with the business segments, from creating a value-based offer, through support for the price, technical submission, terms & conditions, aligning the offer with the customer and finalising it through targeted contract negotiations.
" Continuous improvement of the job and activities in line with the companys values.
Knowledge and Experience Detailed knowledge of relevant market sector and customers as well as strong understanding of the groups capabilities, business strategy and operations.
