Title: Senior Mineral Processing Engineer
Description: Senior Minerals Processing Engineer Cornwall £27,000 - £35,000 Our clients business is continuing to expand and as they develop further they are seeking to appoint a seasoned Minerals Processing Engineer at a senior level to join their Mining team in Cornwall. The team is currently working on a diverse selection of mining projects including scoping studies, technical due diligence, Pre- and Full Feasibility Studies as well as property valuations, mostly for private sector clients and banks, and often as part of a fund-raising exercise. This work is truly global, and as a company, they have now operated in more than 70 countries. The successful applicant will primarily be involved with the metallurgical assessment of developing projects, including overseas consultancy projects, as well as laboratory testing and pilot plant testing in the company's laboratories in Cornwall. However, as consultants, work areas can be very broad, and thus many of their projects have a strong team focus. Our client expects all staff to play an active role in the functioning and development of their business and they encourage ideas, innovation and initiative. However, a particular role for this post is to develop the minerals processing consultancy to satisfy an expanding business area within the Company. Responsibilities will include subject to your individual skills and experience demonstrated: " Managing laboratory and pilot test programmes on a range of minerals and commodities " Undertaking mineral processing plant audits and "trouble-shooting" type projects " Assisting in the development and promotion of the company's Minerals Processing consultancy business " Undertaking Due Diligence Studies, Competent Person Reports (CPR) and 43-101 Reports " Participating in Scoping Studies, Pre Feasibility Studies and Bankable Feasibility Studies. " Utilising basic financial models to assess projects; " Contributing to the management, activities and development of the mineral processing team and the company as a whole, and assisting with achieving the company's business objectives and developing future strategies, " Ensuring work safety standards at all times throughout projects. For your part you will be a team player who has the ability to help, motivate, develop and inspire others. Technical expertise, qualifications and experience are of course essential but attitude is paramount. They are a people business and it is the quality and attitude of their people that make the difference. It is hoped that you will have a solid technical background to degree (preferably Masters) or equivalent level in Minerals Engineering and have 10-20 years experience in the mining industry; specific knowledge of or interest in the metalliferous mining sector, which is seen as essential. You should also be able to demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit and a depth and breadth of experience in the mining industry appropriate to the demands of the grade as outlined above. Technical experience will be necessary in resource evaluation and the development of mining projects; experience with geological modelling will be essential.
