This group is a leading multi disciplinary consultancy currently employing a dedicated team of environmental and planning specialists across the globe.
One of their main areas of work is providing advisory and carbon assessment services for both private and public sector clients and they are at the forefront of delivering innovative low carbon services for their core sectors, which include property, water, energy and transport.
In more detail the main focus of the role will be to develop their carbon and climate change related services both in the UK and internationally. In turn the role will involve working with other businesses in the group. Of particular interest will be your ability to work closely with the private sector and have a real passion for creativity and working with other disciplines throughout the group.
You will have responsibility for a number of areas, including:
" Providing carbon and climate change advisory services to their diverse client base;
" Identifying commercial opportunities and securing new business;
" taking responsibility for writing reports and proposals;
" identifying and rolling out innovative practices and services, which support the company's carbon management services and capabilities.
It is essential that you are a graduate in an engineering or environmental discipline and ideally have a post graduate degree in a related subject or business qualification. It is hoped that you will also have:
A minimum of 5 years plus carbon management and/or climate change experience;
Possess excellent interpersonal skills and proactive approach to business;
Demonstrate technical and practical experience of carbon management, including development and implementation of carbon reduction strategies and programmes;
Climate change policy development and implementation experience;
Show an enthusiasm for carbon management and climate change and developing low carbon solutions. Ideally some of this experience may have been gained in areas of asset management and infrastructure development and/or master planning;
In addition you will have the ability to deliver projects, as well as win work and be a great team player.
You will possess a commercial appreciation of the economics of carbon and have the reliability and willingness to learn new skills.
