Our client offers a superb range of geo/environmental services to both the public and private sectors. As their business continues to go from strength to strength they are seeking to appoint a Principal Planning Consultant to support their team.
The role will involve taking on the direction and having input into projects and providing guidance to the team in the Environmental Planning Department in respect of reviews of Planning policy and legislation, preparation of EIA and environmental audits and preparation of Environmental Permit applications as appropriate.
Alongside this assessing the risks and liabilities associated with sites and development for a variety of purposes including pre-acquisition due diligence and insurance.
Other duties will include liaising with clients and regulatory authorities during projects and providing informed contribution to the work of the department.
Additionally undertaking responsibility for project performance and control, as well as preparing contract documentation, budgets and programmes of work including overseeing the management of projects in line with budgets and carrying out quality procedures and proofing responsibilities in accordance with the QA system.
It is hoped that you will have an MSc in a relevant subject area and between 8-10 years previous experience. Additionally experience in project management, budgeting & financial control is essential, as is planning and consultancy experience. It is hoped that you will be a member of the Royal Town Planning Institute and that you will possess good communication skills and the ability to deal confidently with clients.
