Our client is a multidisciiplinary consultancy, which offers a global service in the following sectors:- transport, energy, buildings, water and the environment, health and education and industry and communications.
A major area of work for the group is their highways business, which covers:- highways planning, design, procurement, and maintenance management. The company's history is rooted in highways and the economic, social and environmental dimensions as well as design and construction.
They have worked on a significant number of schemes which include:-
A3 Hindhead Tunnel
A303 Stonehenge, Heathrow T4
Port Mann DBFO (Canada)
Managed Motorways (Transport Technology)
The company are also involved with a schemes in the Gulf, Europe, Africa and the Caribbean.
Their current need calls for an Economist to assist in their expanding workload within the Transport Management Consultancy in the transportation sector advising Governments and International Funding Institutions. The company see it as crucial to expand their capability in transport economics.
The role they seek to fill will involve:
- Assisting with the preparation of economic appraisals of major transport projects.
- Development of life cycle financial models
- Economic advice during business case development
From an experience viewpoint , the company are seeking to appoint an individual who possesses ten or more years experience in either planning and economics and is able to communicate effectively and build teams.
They would prefer a Chartered Engineer who has experience in:- Demand and revenue forecasting
- Working knowledge of UK and International PPP procurement process
- Established contacts in PPP partner and client organisations
